What Should Be.

Today, my family went down to San Diego to spend the day there. We were sitting in a Starbucks, and my sister made a comment that I totally agree with. There was a girl there with her parents, and she was wearing a Paul Frank t shirt, carrying an O'Neill purse, and making sure her Tamagotchi was fed. My sister looked at her and said, "Now, that's how little girls should be."

I completely agree. One hundred percent. Girls in junior high and elementary school shouldn't be worried about designer bags and how much their clothes cost. I mean, it's fine to have nice things, but a twelve year old girl had no business carrying around a Coach purse. She should be more concerned with the welfare of her digital pet than if she has any new text messages. All the influence of the media is seeping into kids younger and younger. I mean, little kids? they're fine playing with a ten dollar marble chute, they don't care all that much--as long as it's fun.

I'm done ranting for today. I'm TIRED. Can you believe I fell asleep at nine o'clock last night? I did. And I slept until ten this morning because my sister woke me up. School is the bane of my teenage existence.
